"Tiny House" is a 1200 sqft house in the Montrose neighborhood of Houston.  The design is suspended over the ground floor, originally conceived as a pure box and later folded into "origami-like" plates.

The lot was abnormally small for the area (23' x 60') and included tight setback regulations, thus the house rises from the ground floor to catch light and still gain some airiness. The main building body folds up towards the facade where a triangulated screen provides the living room with privacy from the adjacent street.
